Full DetailsABOUT ROSE DENE This unique and individual detached property originally dates back to 1914 when it was originally built as a more modest 3 bedroom property. It is of traditional stone built construction under a rosemary tiled roof. Since then the property has had two major extensions, firstly a side extension in the 1950s, then a rear extension during the 1990s. Our clients purchased the property in 2003 and have commissioned comprehensive renovation works since then to create the outstanding home that you see today.
When entering the property there is the choice of two doors, one into the entrance hall where there are staircases to the first floor and cellar. There is also a further reception hall area which could be used for other purposes. From the hall there are doors into the lounge and dining room, both of which are of generous proportions.
Steps lead down from the dining room into the kitchen - this is once again a good size and fitted with high spec units by Milligan and Jessop featuring a long central island with overhanging breakfast bar, Aga range cooker and a full compliment of modern appliances. A further less formal dining area will be found at the rear of the property enjoying views over the garden - from here there is access to the large garden room which links to the lounge and also features stairs to the lower ground floor accommodation and doors out onto the terraced outside seating area.
The lower floor accommodation could easily be utilised as an annex to the main house if required or possibly a studio / home working space. It features a good sized living room with glazed doors out to the garden, bathroom and 2 double bedrooms. The smaller of these bedrooms is currently fitted out as a study. There is also a series of further cellar rooms beneath the property providing storage and a utility room accessed from the hall.
You will find the other bedrooms on the first floor of the house accessed from the landing. The principal bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and balcony overlooking the garden. It is accessed through a large and luxurious walk through dressing room with built in wardrobes (this was formerly a double bedroom). There are two further double bedrooms, a quality modern house bathroom and separate wc.
The property is presented to an excellent modern standard with mostly double glazed windows, gas central heating and quality fixtures and fittings throughout. It is Freehold and connected to all mains services.
Externally there is a gated parking area and detached single garage to the front of the house. To the rear there is a good sized enclosed garden which enjoys a good deal of privacy and is arranged over 3 levels with a stone paved terrace off garden room having steps down to a level lawned area. From here further steps lead down to another garden area with extensive lawn, further seating area and a wooden garden room with sauna.
