Guy is our Managing Partner and joined the team at Wm Sykes in 2024. Guy has been in property for 28 years and has previously been an operations director for an estate agency group, buy to let investment company and housebuilder. Guy is married with four children, 3 dogs, 8 chickens and an avid Huddersfield Town fan and keen golfer.
Rob is a partner in the business and has been with Wm Sykes since 1998, although he spent many summers accompanying his father Paul on valuations during the school holidays in his childhood. In his role as head valuer he visits a wide range of residential and agricultural properties. He also has a long successful track record in marketing of new developments from site design right through to completion of sales. When not working he has a passion for live music and walking on the hills with his dog Bru.
Louise is our Business Manager and has been part of the team at Wm Sykes for over 10 years. She lives in Holmfirth with her husband Rob, and when she’s not busy at her desk she enjoys cooking, gardening and dog training with her Bearded Collie Bru.
Jane is Branch Manager of our Slaithwaite office and is an experienced Valuer with almost 40 years in the industry, previously running her own estate agency and prior to that, an Associate Partner at Carter Jonas. Jane is married with 6 children and 2 grandchildren, dotes on family life, is an accomplished cook, and if there is any time left, she will pick up her saxophone.
Claire joined Wm Sykes & Son in 2013 and is our senior sales negotiator. Offering a wealth of industry knowledge, Claire thrives on guiding the team and clients alike toward the best possible outcomes. Claire specialises in residential sales, new builds and commercial property. Outside of her working life, Claire is a mum of two who enjoys family time, caring for her rescue cat and socialising with friends.
Beth joined the team in 2022 and is our sales negotiator in Slaithwaite. Prior to working for Wm Sykes she had 5 years’ experience within residential lettings, sales and valuing. Beth was born and raised in the Colne Valley so has a wealth of local knowledge. She enjoys sewing and spending time with family, friends and her dog Pablo.
Emily is one of our sales negotiators and has been working at Wm Sykes since 2024. She graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Psychology (no, that doesn’t mean she can read minds) in 2020, and thrives working in a customer service environment. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, being walked by her dog, and baking.
Georgia is a sales advisor in the Slaithwaite office and has worked for Wm Sykes since opening their doors in Slaithwaite in 2017. Her role consists of providing customer service, creating brochures, doing viewings and generally being available to help throughout the sales process. She is married and a mother of one mum and enjoys spending time together as a family outside of work.
Katie joined Wm Sykes team as a Sales Negotiator bringing twenty years of experience in the property industry. She has always lived and worked in the Holme Valley and Huddersfield areas, so has excellent local knowledge. Outside of work, Katie enjoys dog walking, live music, holidaying in Greece and spending time socialising with friends and family.
Lizzie has returned to William Sykes as a Sales advisor following her time with the Ambulance Service. She enjoys working as part of the team and helping buyers and vendors through the different processes. When she isn’t in the office she is renovating properties with her fiancé, mobile hairdressing, and spending time with friends and family.
Natalia is a part of our Slaithwaite branch. She loves helping people finding their new homes and you are most likely to meet her at a viewing in the Colne Valley area. When she’s not working at Wm Sykes & Son Natalia runs her ceramic studio based in Holmfirth. In her spare time, she loves hiking with her rescue Shar Pei, Darcy, and cooking for her family and friends.
Victoria is a Sales Advisor based in our Holmfirth office. Prior to her life in estate agency Victoria spent sixteen years in social work. A Holme Valley resident, outside of work, she enjoys riding her horse, walking her dogs, and watching American football.
Rebecca is our Agricultural Surveyor and joined the team in 2015. Having completed her degree in 2011 at Harper Adams University, she then worked for a land agency where she gained her Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer qualifications. Rebecca’s local knowledge and agricultural base fuels her passion for advising local farmers and landowners.
Lucie is our in-house photographer. She has worked freelance with us since 2016 but joined the team full-time in 2022. She has degrees in both art and media, and when she’s not behind the camera, she hosts pub quizzes, and enjoys seeing live music and hanging out with her cats.
Yvonne has been with the company for 40 years. She is the backbone of the business dealing with core administration and accounts. Yvonne is married with one daughter and has recently become a grandma. She loves walking the dog, travelling and nights out socialising.
